For 1969, Mattel gave us the Double-Dare Race Action Set. In 1971 you could go one step further by adding 2 Danger-Changers to the ’69 track. I call it the Triple-Dare Race Action Set. Track components include: 1 start gate, 1 universal clamp, 30 feet of orange track, 6 joiners, 2 daredevil loops, 2 Danger-Changers and 1 finish gate. Although this track set never showed up in North America, it was sold in Germany.
Here’s the 4 car set I’ll use for today’s races.
This is a run down the track.
See how the cars perform in this video from my YouTube site.
So there you have it. A Double-Dare Race Action Set with a Danger-Changer 2-Pak. The 1971 Hot Wheels Triple-Dare Race Action Set.
It’s still fast. Still fun.
And from “The Hot Ones” era (1983 for this set) we have the Dash & Crash Speedway. It features dual-lane loops and only 1 danger-changer.
