In 1971 Mattel released the Crossover Pak.

I’ve come up with a custom drag strip that you make by taking one universal clamp, one start gate, 28 feet of orange track, 8 joiners, one finish gate and then adding a crossover pak.

The result?  The 1971 Hot Wheels Double-Cross Drag Set.
